Documentary

Documentary filmmaking is the medium I feel most comfortable in, as it easily branches my two biggest passions: film & politics. My films largely centre around disability justice as I grew up with two sisters with disabilities. My documentary work at the moment tends to be an individual endeavour but I am looking to expand my body of work and to bring awareness and change to more social and political issues.

Disposable: Life on ODSP (2024) is a short documentary and journalism piece that centres around the poverty and struggles many people on the Ontario Disability Support Program face. It premiered at a public screening in Toronto hosted by People's Voice in July 2024.

In Their Wheels (2021) is a film that showcases the inaccessibility of city infrastructure through the perspective of a wheelchair user. This film is inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goal "Sustainable Cities and Communities" and features my sister Janneke.
